BRONZE SCULPTURES

Efthymios Kalevras developed a sculptural language grounded in the human figure, moving between representation and abstraction through stone, marble, plaster and bronze.

FORM, VOLUME AND MATERIAL

Trained under Thanasis Apartis at the Athens School of Fine Arts, Kalevras built his work through direct engagement with matter. Stone and marble emphasise weight, incision and the resistance of the block; plaster preserves the immediacy of modelling; bronze carries those gestures into lasting form.

Across these materials, the human body is simplified into masses, curves and voids. The female figure, the circle and relationships between two or more figures recur throughout his work, creating a vocabulary of balance, movement and shared presence.

BRONZE SCULPTURES

FEATURED WORK

A recurring circular motif becomes a condensed study of continuity and movement. The irregular contour prevents the form from becoming purely geometric, while the central void draws space into the sculpture.
