Three figures are gathered within a sweeping horizontal mass whose contours rise and fall like a current of air. The reclining body at the front anchors the composition, while the upright heads and extended planes carry the eye upward and outward. Smoothly joined volumes replace literal motion with a broad sculptural rhythm. The marble seems at once weighty and airborne, held between gravity and release. The work turns flight into a shared impulse, a moment when separate bodies are drawn into the same ascent.
